Care and Development at Blue Grass
We genuinely view ourselves as working in true partnership with parents. We encourage parents to play an active role in the children’s time at Nursery and truly value our interaction with parents.
Under 2’s have a Daily Diary where we record vital information. We let you know what nappies have been like, what food has been enjoyed and what activities the children have undertaken. There is space within the diary for you to let us know about anything that might affect the child, too.
You and your child will benefit from your own staff member who is devoted to you and your child as a focal point for their time at Nursery – the person you can turn to for advice, information or support, someone who knows you and your child.
Each child will have their own Individual Development Record which will detail their achievements and steps forward through childhood. We invite you to complete this with us by sharing with us what you see your child doing at home, whilst we share with you what they achieve at Nursery.
The best communication is two-way. Staff are always available to talk with parents about the progress of their children and we actively encourage parents to enter into a dialogue with us in a way that they feel comfortable.
We schedule individual private appointmente with parents in order to complete the Two-Year Development Check together. Then, we invite parents again to sit down at around age 3 and again at 4 and again at pre-school in order to continue to maintain contact about the child's development. But parents are ALWAYS invited to come in to Nursery to chat to us, formally or informally, any time.
